Review of my Bose Sounddock 10!
My name is Brandon, and today I’d like to talk to you about one of my favorite products that I just added to my home: the Bose Sounddock 10.
Basically it’s a little box which is mostly a high quality speaker that connects to an outside music source (iPhone, iPod, Blackberry) via auxiliary cable or bluetooth, and lets you listen to the music from that device in crisp, clear, LOUD, stereo quality sound.

Why I recommend the Bose Sounddock 10
I bought one because I work from home, and quite honestly it gets quite boring in a house all by yourself (when the wife and kids are gone during the day), and I wanted something that I could listen to during those hours. I also have a very large collection of music on my iPod, which I wanted to be able to enjoy at home, but easily and quickly disconnect when I run an errand that way I can have the same music in my car. The Bose Sounddock 10 accomplishes all of this, plus much more.
It is also compatible with all iPhones and most iPod models. You can even hook it up via the optional bluetooth dock to your iPhone or most other smartphones (blackberries, ect.) with a range of around 25 feet, so you can actually control it from another room in your house, or still take a call if necessary. This is a HUGE plus who carry their music collection on their phones, like I do, or businessmen who live on their phones day and night.
Sound Quality
That brings me to my next point. The sound quality on the Bose Sounddock 10 is nearly unbelievable. You have to remember, the entire unit is only a little larger than 17 by 12 inches, making it perfect for any coffee table or counter in your home. The sound that comes out of this little box will blow your mind. The first time I heard it I actually turned it down because I thought I would blow the speakers, but was astonished when I discovered it was only on 60%! You have to hear it to believe it, plain and simple.
Pros and Cons
It’s portable . The unit only weighs around 20 lbs, making it easily transferable to any room in your house, or even your office if you please. You can take your Bose Sounddock 10 anywhere you have a need for your music, quickly and painlessly.
It’s also GREAT for parties. The way the sound fills up the whole house in remarkable! It’s almost like magic. I had a party recently, about a week after I bought my Bose Sounddock 10. A few of my guests LITERALLY looked around and said “where’s all the great music coming from?” When I pointed at the tiny little box on my cabinet, their jaws dropped in awe. One even asked me if I had had a home stereo installed from my UPSTAIRS bedroom. That alone made the purchase worth it.
The ONLY negative thing I can say about the Bose Sounddock 10 is that there are no controls on the unit itself, as it is controlled only by whatever device you hook it up to (iPhone, Blackberry, ect.). Not a deal breaker by any means for me, but some who throw parties all the time might be annoyed if people are constantly asking them for their phone so they can change the music.
My overall take
Overall, I think the Bose Sounddock 10 is a fabulous product. It has multiple uses, and because of the ease of use you’ll quickly get your moneys worth because you’ll probably use it every single day. I hope this review helps!
